Our Michael Donahue is not the same as the one you have wrote about. Such a coincidence that both Michael's were born about the same time and died in the same year. Our Michael was married to Susan Young in 1897. They were from Kentucky, married in Indiana, moved to Missouri and settled down in Oklahoma. They had two boys, William and Harry Keach Donahue. Susan died in 1907. Sometime after 1910, Michael went to Aransas Pass, Texas. His son, our grandfather, never would talk about it. So we have very little to go on. We were told he went to Texas to work for a doctor. But we have no proof. He may have just wanted to get out of Oklahoma, he may have had a new lady friend, he may have truly gone to work there. He became ill and passed away in 1914. All we have is a telegram from Hump Green giving a few details and stating there was enough money to cover burial costs.

Prairie View Cemetery is a small, volunteer ran, cemetery in Aransas Pass Texas (which is just outside of Corpus Christi).

It was also said that Michael may have been raised by his uncle. Again, we have no documents to verify anything. We don't really know if he was an only child.

Thank you for your information. We are so eager to find pieces of information to fill in all the holes.
