I have a little bit of a mystery I am trying to find answers to, Robert Eason Mannning was born abut 1920 (dob might be May 25,1929 Yazoo City, Yazoo County, Mississippi. He died Feb 24, 1981 Aransas Pass, San Patricio, Texas. He was married to a Mrs. Nora Emma Koenig, on Oct 13, 1958, Aransas County, Texas. She had previously been married to Gabriel Ralph Koenig, who I believe died in 1952. Her maiden name was MANN. Eleanora Emma Nora Mann, was born July 11,1903 Medina County Texas (Castroville ) and died Dec 27, 1971 in Aransas Pass, San Patricio, Texas. So about Robert E. Mannning, he lived in Yazoo County Mississippi all his life until right after 1942 when he sevred in the U.S Army at Camp Shelby in Mississippi, He then is later living in Houston, Harris County Texas in 1957, sometime after that he moves to Aransas Pass. He was robbed one night of his money and his pickup truck and killed and left in a roadside park. He was identified by his ring. I did not find an image for his death certificate on family search. I have not been able to locate an obit and I think surely there would have been something about the crime in a newspaper., so far batting zero. I did get an obit for Emma Manning, his wife and interestingly enough, the husband is not even mentioned. So I am beginning to wonder and would appreciate any help in this matter, thank you ahead of time.
