I am also looking for information on a Samuel Thompson. My 3rd gr-grandfther was Samuel Franklin Thompson, son of William Howard Thompson. Samuel and his siblings were orphaned at a young age (around 1847) in Marion Co. TN. His father, William Howard had met and married Carrie O'Rouark in Franklin Co. TN. Samuel went on to live with Campbell and Malinda Henley. I've been told that Malinda was Malinda Thompson, daughter of Burwell Thompson. I'm trying to figure out how our William Howard might fit into the Burwell Thompson family.

We have this information on William Howard Thompson. Born abt. 1815 in TN (probably Franklin Co.) and died abt. 1847 in Marion Co.
