THNAK YOU so much! I did not know about the Texas State Library and guess what? They have all of the headright and land grant info scanned on-line. So I was able to view that the same day William Haltom and john Sory got 640 acres each, so did James Lucas Sory. Now, I just need to hunt down that land and see when he sold it, or what happened to it. Again, I appreciate yall's help sooo much!
