Freida O. Robertson, 89, died Wednesday night, April 19, 1995, at the Twilight Nursing Home in Bangs. She was born on March 30, 1906 in Comanche, Comanche County, Texas. She came to Winters (Runnels County) following her marriage to Douglas Cortez Robertson on November 18, 1923 in Comanche. Mrs. Robertson was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Winters. Survivors include two sons; J. B. Robertson of Austin and Eugene Robertson and his wife Peggy of Fort Worth; three daughters, Jerry Lloyd, Charlotte R. Davis Miller, and Pat Williams and her husband Melvin all of Winters; one sister, Edith Nichols of Austin; one sister-in-law Mrs. Carlos McGuire of Comanche; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Services were held Friday, April 21 at the First Baptist Church in Winters with Reverend Glenn Shoemake officiating. Burial was in Northview Cemetery under the direction of Winters Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Pyburn Brown, R. Q. Marks, Ken Rosson, Bryan Webb, Tobin Burns, and Billy Joe Colburn. Memorials made be made to the Jones Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church in Winters.
