Luther Lee Smith, 82, of Winters, died Monday morning, May 16, 1994, at Midland Memorial Hospital. Services were at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 1994, at the Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Madden officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, directed by Winters Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith was born June 27, 1911, in Adamsville and attended school there. He married Vivian Blake on May 31, 1932 in Adamsville, and they came to Runnels County in 1956. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Smith of Winters; two sons, Luther Lee Smith, Jr. (Smitty) and Conrad Earl Smith, both of Winters; four daughters, Jean Peterson and Peggy Peterson both of Midland, Bobbie Fry and Jo Ann Tubbs, both of Winters; two sisters, Gladys Lunsford of Lampasas and Dorothy Conerly of Deer Park; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Mickey Smith, Ricky Smith, Shon Smith, Billy New, Ramero Reyna, and Trey Smith.
