[Obituary] "W.W. McKinley -- Ballinger was shocked to learn the sad news of the death of W.W. McKinley at Bangs on Monday of this week. It was known here for some days that he was dangerously ill at that place but hopes for his recovery were indulged by friends and relatives. His remains were interred here Tuesday by a large number of friends and relatives.
"Mr. McKinley moved from Balinger to Bangs some time last August and was working for a blacksmith firm there at the time of his fatal illness. He has been a citizen of Ballinger for many years, and always true and faithful to duty, lived a Christian life, and was courageous in behalf of his convictions. He had been a member of the Methodist church since his childhood and was ever found in the fighting of ranks to defend the Christian faith.
"He leaves a large number of relatives to mourn his passing into that Country from which no man has ever yet returned, and who will miss him from among the walks of men; among the number is the Editor of the Banner-Leader." (SOURCE: The Ballinger 'Leader' Vol 31, # 7, page 3. Friday, 27 Oct 1911.)
