Sarah Elizabeth Gary was a sister to Rebecca who married Arthur Milton Gary of Regugio Co., Tx. Sarah Elizabeth Gary married Newton Cokely Griffin, my gg grandparents. He was known as Doc Griffin.

My father is Travis Clyde Griffin, Jr. and his father was Travis Clyde Griffin, Sr. and his father was Jasper Cokely Griffin and his father was Dr. Newton Cokely Griffin.
There are some Gary's buried in our family cemetary(the Griffin Ceme), but not Arthur Milton Gary. I was told that he died on a cattle drive to Kansas and is buried around San Antonio,. Texas. Rebecca is buried in Runge, Tx. with several of her kids.
The parents of Sarah and Rebecca Gary were Isaac H. Gary and Sarah Lorena Story or Manning. They are both buried in the Asher Ceme. in Mound Creek, Texas. I have always been told that Arthur Milton Gary and Isaac Gary were brothers and that Rebecca married her uncle. But I don't know if this is true or not. Some say that he was her cousin not an uncle but none the less she too was a Gary.
