Services for James C. Rogers, 62, of 507 W. St. Francis, who died Wednesday morning in Northwest Texas Hospital, will be announced by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors.
Born in Shannon, Miss., Mr. Rogers had lived in Amarillo 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell; a daughter, Mrs. Jeanie Lindley, and a son J.C., both of Shannon; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Pauline Wisdom of 617 N. Taylor, Mrs. Alice Craig of 507 W. St. Francis, Mrs. Bernice Richards of Tatum, NM., and Mrs. Theresa Bradley of Portales, NM.; two stepsons, James Owens of Texline and Laurence Owens of California; three sisters, Mrs. Essie Baldwin and Mrs. Myrtle Watts, both of Shannon, and Mrs. Lena Phillips of Ceola, Ark.; a brother, Claude of Okolona, Miss., 21 grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Services were held the following day at 2pm in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, with the Rev. Jack Sizemore, pastor of Olten Park Baptist Church, and the Rev. Claude Fox Jr., pastor of Sanborn Baptist Chruch, officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery.
