I did check 1870 Mortality records for Texas-I was trying to see if there was confirmation of John Wesley Hardin's alleged killing of 3 men in 1869 and of a Circus person in 1870. I did come across that one report of a person murdered-but I don's know if it has any connection to Hardin claims or not.
There is some evidence that he killed at least one/3? person in Trinity County Texas.
