My father's name is James Walter Huffstickler, he is 60 years old and lives in NJ. His father, Leroy Jerrell Huffstickler is still alive at 95, he is the last sibling of 8 Huffstickler children. He is very sharp and remembers a lot. His father was Walter Huffstickler and his mother was Carrie Gaskill. He tells me that his father was one of 10 children, all from Gastonia NC. Any information? Anyone? Our clan of Huffsticklers has grown here in NJ with only two Huffstickler men to carry on our legacy. It seems that our boys have girl children and our girls have boy children.

I have been trying to trace our family roots and knew the family was from Gastonia, but did not realize my Grandfather (Walter) was from there. Jim and Nora were my grandparents. My mother is their daughter, Linda who was born in Friona in 1953 and Olivia (Libby) is my aunt who was born in 1969. My mom and I were just scanning pictures today and we were talking about Elizabeth McCormick and Walter Goodman Huffstatler. My grandparents, Mom, and aunt are the only ones that went by the name Huffstickler as the Army changed my grandpa's name so he could fight for the U.S. Army in WWII. Grandpa Jim passed away on December 24th, 1984 and Grandma Nora passed away on May 13, 1986. My mom lives in Wyoming and Aunt Libby lives in Utah since my grandparents passed away.

I'm sorry, It was June 10th not May 13th 1986 for Grandma Nora's passing. =)
