I am looking for information on McNarie Rachel Bethenia Taylor McKaughan who died 1916 and was buried in Blackwell.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I do not have Vivian Boyd Goodman's e-mail address, and my computer will not pick up the link.

I did not find McNarie McKaughan in the Death index. This index was not officially kept until the 1920's. I'll e-mail you privately about Vivian.

Is your McKaughan the wife of John Simpson McKaughan?
His parents are Forester McKaughan and Christian Simpson McKaughan.

Jena, more research fails to show up McNairie as Rachel's last name. Middle name spelled Bethania. Maiden name Taylor. Her date of death is April 12, 1916. She was living in Hale County with her daughter. When they realized that death was imminent, they put her on the train to Blackwell. She died shortly after arriving in Blackwell, but I can find no record of her burial in Nolan, Coke or Runnels County and no death certificate with the State of Texas. There are a couple of McKaughans buried in Blackwell Cemetery, but they don't show up in the 3 volume book. These are only rough concrete markers over by the tool shed. Rachel's husband, John Simpson, is buried in Hunt County, Texas. There is room for her to be buried there, but no record of it. Any ideas???? Thanks.

I have just found your message about Rachel Bathania Taylor McKaughan. She was my ggggrandmother. I have just started searching. Rachel was born in McNarie, Tn. I assumed they named her after the town or county. Ancestry. com has her listed as dying in Nolan, Tx.on 12 Apr. 1916.
