In doing genealogical research I'm looking for any possible information concerning the following person:

Don Bernardo D'Ortolant (variant spelling- Don Bernard D'Ortolon, Dortolan), b. ca 1739, native of Bordeaux,
France. Married in Natchitoches, La. to Marie Anne Grappe,
9 Oct 1776, 2nd marriage in Natchitoches, La. to Catherine
Bardon,6 July 1793. Accompanied Lieutenant-Governor Athanase De Mezieres to San Antonio, 1779, in capacity of
sub-lieutenant. Member of the Galvez Expeditions in Louisiana. Appears on census records (Texas) 1797, 1798, 1799, 1801, 1804, 1805,1806, 1809--Nacogdoches area. Owner of Rancho San Bernardo, near Loco Creek, west of Nacogdoches, Member of Magee-Gutierrez Expedition, forced to leave Texas 1813, died approx.. 1822 probably Natchitoches, La. area.

Anyone researching this family name in colonial Nacogdoches records? Will glady share info.

Thank you,
Susan Holley
