Mrs. Nora Boatman Dies After Fall

HENDERSON, Texas-Mrs. Nora Boatman,73, native of Nacogdoches County and Rusk County resident of more than fifty years, died Saturday at Henderson Hospital from injuries sustained in a fall last month at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Freddie Parker, in Compton community.
Funeral service will be held at Compton Church at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving are three sons, N.B. Boatman, Midland; Grady Boatman, Lake Jackson; Thurman Boatman, Odessa; seven daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lawson, Arlington; Mrs. Minnie Latham, Houston; Mrs. Rosie Williams and Mrs. Freddie Parker, both of Compton; Mrs. Birdie Gunnels, Henderson; Mrs. Mary Weatherford, New Salem; Mrs. Jewnell Lee, Nacogdoches; three brothers, Arthur Gage and Tom Gage, Lilbert, and Finis Gage, Beaumont; four sisters, Mrs. Bill Barnett and Mrs. Charles Grimes, Douglas; Miss Lula Gage and Mrs. Tommy Self, Lilbert; twenty-four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
