MRS. AMANDA HANEY
Funeral for Mrs. Amanda Jane Heaslet Haney, 88, of 1019 Wells was held Monday at 2 p.m. in Laird Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Officiating was Rev. Kenneth Stone, pastor of Grace Temple Baptist Church.
Mrs. Haney died Saturday, April 22, 1989. at her home.
Born Dec. 30, 1900, in Rusk County, she was the daughter of Louis David and Julia Muller Matlock. She was a Baptist and the widow of William F. Heaslet who died in 1919 and of J.H. Haney who died in 1945.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth R. Heaslet, and two step-sons, R.B. Haney and Homer Lee Haney, all of Nacogdoches; Also a brother, Fred Matlock of Livingston; three sisters, Bertie King of Woden, Judy Pape of Houston, and Bessie Clamon of Livingston; and two grandchildren. A daughter, Maurine Manley, preceded her in death.
Pallbearers were David Pierce, Gene Greer, Ray Haney, Henry Lee Haney, Bill Haney, and Jimmy Lewis Greer.
Laird Funeral Home directed arrangements.
