Graveside services for Wanda N. Wilder, 73, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale with Rev. Calvin Springer officiating. She died Saturday, March 8, 2003 at her residence in Waco.
Mrs. Wilder, a Waco resident the past 12 years, formerly of Rockdale from 1982 to 1989, was born July 12, 1929 in San Antonio the daughter of Dalugmer and Ora (Jowers) Mooring. She married Rhett Wilder Jr. Aug. 26, 1949 in Colorado City, was a homemaker and attended the Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, four brothers, James, Thomas, Judy and Waydell Mooring and one sister, Martha Thrasher.
Surviving are: Husband, Rhett Wilder Jr. of Waco; son, Rhett Wilder III of Houston; daughter, Beverly K. Wilder of Waco; sister, Deloris McDonnell of Burleson; half-sister, Felcia Spearmann of Sacramento, CA; grandson, Rhett Joseph Wilder of Houston and two great-grandchildren.
