Patricia D. Barker, 63, of Rockdale for the past five years and formerly of Thrall and Caldwell, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007 at her home near Rockdale.

Mrs. Barker was born Sept. 11, 1943 in Hunington, IN to Rever and Nina (Redding) Morris.

She married James E. Barker on Oct. 19, 1963 in Hunington, IN.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rockdale. She worked as sales associate with Wal-Mart for four years in Rockdale, four years in Taylor and formerly with Texas A&M as custodian.

Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her sister, Sandy Morris; brother, Rich Morris.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Barker Sr. of Rockdale; four sons, Jeff Barker of Caldwell, Terry Barker of Bartlett, Matt Barker of Thrall and James Barker, Jr. of Rockdale; her parents; daughter, Tina Klehn of Leawood, KS; brother, Cecil Morris of Caldwell; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
