Miriam Edith Morgan, 82, of Cameron since 2005, formerly of Milano, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, in the Cameron Nursing Center.
Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, in First Baptist Church in Milano. Burial followed in the Milano Cemetery.
Mrs. Morgan was born Jan. 30, 1925 in Milano to Walter Lee and Edna Ray (Kelley) Morgan.
She married Frank Heinz, Jr. in 1942 in Bastrop.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of First Baptist Church in Milano.
She attended Milano school and enjoyed watching soap operas, gardening and flowers.
Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 24, 1960; her parents; a granddaughter, Ellen Victoria Lyons, on April 9, 1988; two sisters, Thelma Salinas and Evelyn Pearce; two brothers, George Morgan and Glen Ray Morgan.
Survivors include three daughters, Loretta Charpiot of Crystal Beach, Edna L. Lyons and husband Ronnie of Milano and Jean Blaney and husband Richard of College Station; five sisters, Vera Williams of Rockdale, Mary Ponder of Tomball, Minnie Ola Ruzicka and husband Richard of Cameron, Edna Jean Olin of Tomball and Joan Griffith and husband Richard of Rockdale; seven grandchildren, Garland Charpiot and wife Denise, Brant Charpiot and wife Kim, Kelly Charpiot, Ronnie Lyons, Jr. and wife Julie, Cherami Jenkins and husband Ryan, Donna Sessums and husband Billy and Stephanie Blaney; seven great-grandchildren, Crandall and Victoria Jenkins, Bryant Sessums, Brook and Maci Charpiot, Sailor McClay Lyons and Brick Pomeroy.
Pallbearers were Garland Charpiot, Brant Charpiot, Kelly Charpiot, Ronnie Lyons, Jr., Ryan Jenkins, Bill Sessums, Jimmy Ponder, Grover Morgan and Gary Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Williams, Alvie Morgan, Bonnie Woods, Tommy Hartley and Donald Barrett.
