Services for Elizabeth Whited, 83, of Milano, formerly of Caldwell, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Whited died Sunday, Sept. 2, at a Temple hospital.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1923, in Burleson County to John Miller and Agnes (Mikulastik) Paukert.

In 1944, she married J.D. Whited in Coleman.

She was a Milano resident for the past 50 years and attended Caldwell High School. She was owner and operator of a fruit stand in Milano and was also a cattle rancher and homemaker. Mrs. Whited enjoyed visiting her friends at Milano Senior Citizens Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Whited, on Dec. 10, 1978; her parents, a sister, Blanche Piwonka; a brother, Marion T. Paukert; and a stepdaughter, Barbara Ann Mills.

Survivors are two brothers, John Paukert of Friendswood, Frank Paukert and wife Faye of LaMarque; and a sister, Evelina Goodson and husband E. J. Carle of San Antonio.
