1. You need to check the District Court Records at the Milam County District Clerk's Office at the Old County Courthouse in Cameron, Texas. They have all of the criminal trial records beginning after April 1874 courthouse fire.

2. Once you find the trial date, you can go to the old copies of the GALVESTON DAILY NEWS newspaper and/or the DALLAS MORNING NEWS to obtain articles about the trial. Such a trial would have been "big" news and carried in the states major newspapers.
