THORNDALE - Harley Pat Wilder, 71, of Houston for 35 years, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007 in Westwood Rehab Healthcare in Houston. Graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Retreat Cemetery near Thorndale with Nita Newman of Pleasant Retreat Methodist Church officiating.

Mr. Wilder was born May 8, 1936 in Rockdale to Rhett Wilder and Bernice Beard.

He married Helen Harrison on May 29, 1957 in Kermit.

Mr. Wilder was a 1955 graduate of Kermit High School and attended Texas Tech University.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Rhett Wilder, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Wilder of Houston; son, Tony Wilder of Houston; daughter, Misty Yarneau and husband Glen of Pearland; brother, Perry Wilder of Odessa; three sisters, Agnes Bennet of Haines, Alaska, Nancy Clark of Pearsall and Mary Lund of Midland; seven grandchildren, Branna, Brittany, Shannon, Sharra and Trevor Wilder and Christopher and Alexis Yarneau.
