Services Friday For EDMONDSON

Services for George H. EDMONDSON Jr., 37, 5435 6th St. will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Westminster Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Bill SMITH, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery under direction of Rix Funeral Home.

EDMONDSON, a veteran of the Korean conflict, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Methodist Hospital after becoming ill at his home shortly after 6 a.m.

Cause of death had not been determined. A post mortem will be conducted by physicians.

EDMONDSON had been a Lubbock resident for 11½ years. He was employed by El Paso Hotel Supply Co. and was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was an official of the Western Pony League.

Survivors include his wife, Janie; three sons, Roger, Jimmy and Guy, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. A. R. VALDEZ of California, and father G. H. EDMONDSON, Waco.

George Henderson Jr. was son of George Henderson Edmondson of Ellis County, Texas. His mother was Mary Beth Burleson. Father's death certificate indicates he was divorced. George Jr.was born in Ellis County, Texas on 1 Feb. 1930. his grandfather was Young Colville Edmondson.
