I have a copy of his death certificate. He died 4.8 miles north of Mentone and lived at 408 N. Cedar St., Pecos, Reeves County. He was a pusher for a water well service. He was the son of Alvin Roe and Myrtle Teague.

He died of a sudden heart attack without seeing a doctor and was pronounced dead by the J.P (W H Brewer). His informant was Jewel Roe and since he was listed as married I guess she was his wife.

He was buried at the Pecos Cemetery by the Pecos Funeral Home.

I am asking for help in locating any news stories, and possible obituary that may have appeared in Loving county.

The information is concerning a John William Roe. I know that he died in Loving County on 25 January 1971. Family says he had a massive heart attack while driving, and had an accident.

Am hoping there was a newspaper story regarding this incident. We are trying to get this information so we can straighten out family stories. His brother, Alvin Aubrey Roe, died the same way in 1969 in Arizona.

Seeking information on my great Uncle Dr. JOHN MORGAN JOHNSON that was a doctor in the Loving Co, Texas . He came I an quessing around 1880-1900's . He was born in Wayne Co, Kentucky Jan 04, 1868 and was the s/o Thomas Pinckney & Martha Ann McClendon Johnson. His wife's name was Jennie last name unknown. Boyd ranch

My mother just told me that Her Uncle Bob Boyd born 1890 in Caldwell County,Texas mentioned that there was a Boyd who was related to us who had a large ranch in West Texas. I found the Boyd Ranch located in Loving County,Texas that might just be the correct ranch,though it doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone on this list know the genealogy behind those that owned the Boyd Ranch in this county? Are there any other large ranches that were owned by Boyds in the early 1900's, possibly owned slightly before this time?

My great grandfather was George Andrew Boyd born 6 August,1866 in Alabama. Don't know when he moved to Texas or his parents name. His first child was Robert Boyd born in 1890 in Caldwell County,Texas. His second child, my grandfather was born in 1892 same place as his older brother. My mother's Uncle Bob Boyd also mentioned that we were related to WIlliam Lawrence Boyd(Hopalong Cassidy) as well as some well known artist in New York(slight possiblity it was in New Jersey). And he also mentioned about the large ranch that a Boyd owned. It might be that this Boyd who owned The Boyd Ranch in Loving Count was also related to William Lawrence Boyd(Hopalong Cassidy).

I sure hope that someone can tell me something about the above and/or those that owned the Boyd Ranch that was located at Loving County,Texas. It no longer exists according to USGS.

Loving County is supposed to have only one or two gravesites or burials. I was interested in where they are located and who the deceased are; are there inscriptions on the stones and if so what are they?
