I am asking for help in locating any news stories, and possible obituary that may have appeared in Loving county.

The information is concerning a John William Roe. I know that he died in Loving county on 25 January 1971. Family says he had a massive heart attack while driving, and had an accident.

Am hoping there was a newspaper story regarding this incident. We are trying to get this information so we can straighten out family stories. His brother, Alvin Aubrey Roe, died the same way in 1969 in Arizona.

I have a copy of his death certificate. He died 4.8 miles north of Mentone and lived at 408 N. Cedar St., Pecos, Reeves County. He was a pusher for a water well service. He was the son of Alvin Roe and Myrtle Teague.

He died of a sudden heart attack without seeing a doctor and was pronounced dead by the J.P (W H Brewer). His informant was Jewel Roe and since he was listed as married I guess she was his wife.

He was buried at the Pecos Cemetery by the Pecos Funeral Home.
