There is a "Bedford Family Tree" owned by the author. http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/38522390/person/19248057172 Not much info posted! That's okay 'cause I'm able to research with available data. Jonas' parents were James Franklin Bedford (25 Dec 1805 - 1853) and Lucy Ann nee: Moore (1821 - 20 Mar 1851). They're found 1850 TX-Travis-Not Stated-Image 28 with six kids, including Jonas. Despite their parents' early deaths the children survived and some even thrived. One, Dr George William Bedford (1 Nov 1839 - 6 Nov 1918) practiced medicine in Lamar County and was a distinguished citizen. I was awaiting a response from the author before sharing "too much" info. Jonas wed Julia A. Duncan and members of her family are buried in Llano City Cemetery.
