This is the last record I have been able to find on him.
My aunt ( his niece ) is 93 years old and she tells me
that he was a Baptist preacher in the little east Texas
town of Bess May ( which is in Jasper Co.)
That his wife died of the flu ( around 1918, 1919 ),
& he had 5 children, the youngest boy was just a
baby. He had his mother Malissa come from Yoakum
Lavaca Co.TX, to help with the children and she took
the flu and died also. My mother ( his niece ) is 90 years
old and she said she was about 5 or 6 years old, when they
got the telegram that their Grandmother (Malissa ) JOHNSON
had died.
When my grandfather Albert Sidney passed away in 1958,
his obit listed his only living sibling as his brother,
Lee JOHNSON of Lampasas, TX.
Fred had died in 1909, Walter died in 1918, Myra died in 1955.
I have no idea how long Lee may have lived in Lampasas, or
if any of his family lived there, or maybe he was living with
one of his children, since he would have been 80 years old.
His mother was born in Burnet Co. She was a WOOLIVER,
and she had 2 WOOLIVER half sisters that married in Burnet Co.
in 1860. One married a RICH and the other a SCOTT.
If any of these names fit in with your family, please let me know.
