Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Mae Hall, 1515 Van Vandt, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at the Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev, Lynn Hitt and the Rev. Eddy Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. Mrs. Hall was born March 1, 1908, in Red River County, a daughter of William and Ada Masley. She married Garland Hall on July 15, 1925, in Detroit. Her husband died Dec. 23, 1978. She was a charter member of the Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Velma Whitley of Paris and Mrs. Dorothy Kinslow of Reno; six sons, Homer Hall of Fort Smith, AR, Kenneth Hall of Columbus, GA, Johnny Hall of Paris, Curtis Hall of Covina, CA, Prentis Hall and David Hall, both of Paris; three sisters, Mrs. Daisy Smith of Paris, Mrs. Nonnie Nichols of Paris and Alma Barnett of Paris; one brother, Alvis Hughes of Detroit; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill Montgomery, Raymond Little, Joe Clayton, Don Davis, Raymond Parker and Don Fortner. Mrs. Hall died Saturday, Dec. 18, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Nonnie Bell Nichols, 95, of Paris passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007, in Paris Health Care Center.
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Friday in Bluff Cemetery with the Rev. Chad Lamb officiating.
The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
She was born March 19, 1912 in Navarro Coounty, a daughter of Wm. "Bill" and Addie Bonner Mosley. She married Wm. Luther Nichols in June of 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1983. She was a member of Holiness Church, and worked at Ideal Bakery and the crate factory.
