Strange you can find the early records that many were destroyed in the county court records fire. We have been to the court records and most of the early records were destroyed/lost, or so we were told, and there is no backup records. This has caused problems verifying births, marriages, deaths, and other needed information. The census does show family records, but we have been searching for the birth, death, and marriage records in Lamar County and City of Paris, and Denton TX.
