My wife is trying to track down her Great Grandmother, Mary Ann Brown, who was born in Texas and ended up in California by 1870. I was curious about the 1860 census that shows William and Eliza Brown in Lamar. Who are those "extra" children who are out of the birth order - Matilda, Mary A, and Geo Ann?
