Services Friday KERRVILLE - Victor E. Hard, age 98, of Kerrville, died peacefully in his sleep at a local care center on Sunday, March 9, 2003. He was born March 3, 1905, in Mahtowa, MN to Peter and Anna Erika Strandberg Hard. Mr. Hard was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beryl and by sons Donald and Thomas, as well as a grandson Michael. He is survived by a son James E. Hard and wife Kathleen of St. Paul Park, MN; daughters Carolyn B. Hard of Longmont, CO and Nancy H. Zarse and husband Allan of Danville, VA; daughters-in-law Janet Hard of Longmont, CO and Judith Hard of San Diego, CA; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Victor was a loving husband and father, an avid fresh-water fisherman, a champion bowler who carried an average of over 210, a small-arms marksman, and an all-around good and considerate man. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, March 14, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Online register book may be signed by logging on to www.kerrvillefuneralhome.com.
