I'm trying to find information on James Solomon Hobbs.

Family lore says that in 1899 he was working as a mule skinner on the Masden Ranch near Grandview at which time he was kicked in the head by a mule and killed, leaving behind his wife, Missouri Ann Hobbs nee Watson, and 9 kids.

I have a 1900 census showing Missouri (listed as a widow) and children living in Hill Co, TX.

Any help would be appreciated!
