researching my husband's family (and one of mine) in
Houston County,
TExas.
I am looking for more information on John P. Campbell, b1853 in
Mississippi, father and mother, William C. Campbell and Temperance (
McComb)
Campbell. At anyrate, John P. Campbell married Drucilla
Dillon and they have 2 or three sons, James David and Samual. John P. died in the middle 1880's...I can't find where he was buried and exactly when except that his wife Drucilla
Dillon remarried in 1888. I saw where she was buried (have forgotton which cemetary) but there was no date on it. She married an
Abraham Graham. Oh yes, my guess is that they came to
Houston County in the late 1860's or 1870. They are in the 1880 Census. So, if you happen to know how I can find when he died and where he is buried (John P. Campbell), I would greatly appreciate it. I have looked at the library in cemetemy books but no luck. Although he was a farmer, I know that he was also a part/time
Baptist minister.His son, James David married

Dillon, I believe is buried there but I haven't been able to find where Thomas
Dillon was buried. But mostly(hope I haven't overwhelmed you) I would like to know when and where John P.Campbell is buried and any other circumstances that there might be.
