Looking for information on John Reuben Stewart and his wife Lucy. John was born abt 1877 in Texas, Lucy was born abt 1884 in Texas. They were living in Houston County in 1920, then John is widowed (listed as J.R.) in the 1930 census. They had the following children:
E.E. Stewart (female) born about 1901
William Coffield Stewart born 1902
D.L. Stewart (female) 1906
Ruth Stewart 1908
Reuben Stewart 1911
Joe Stewart 1915
Harrison Stewart abt 1917
Any help on finding information on this family is sincerely appreciated. I am most interested in finding Lucy's maiden name and both her and John's parents names.

Cemetery info:
There is a John R. Stewart b. 8-19-1876 d. 6-19-1965 buried in the Millican Cemetery near Latexo. No other Stewarts buried there.
There is no listing for any of the other family members you listed.

Lucy's maiden name was Hayslip. Her parents were:
Cophield H Hayslip
Eliza Jane Kersey

Check the Madison County website and message board. Related Stewarts were all over Houston, Madison, and Hunt Counties.
