I am a volunteer researcher for the Texas Peace Officers Memorial. On 4 June 1921 Haskell County deputy sheriff Ralph BISCHOFHAUSEN was mending a fence when H.J. WHITAKER, 23, a World War veteran, shot and killed him. The newspaper said a former difficulty led to the shooting. I am searching for additional information of the incident, where BISCHOFHAUSEN is buried, the disposition of the case, and any surviving family members.
