I am unaware of anyone named Gideon Burleson. My gg grandfather, Benjamin Franklin Burleson, was married to Mary Elizabeth Caldwell in 1874 and moved from Leon County to Haskell County. His dod is 11/15/1915. He is buried in Rochester Cemetary, Haskell County. Please email me with any info or questions

Hi Kim, Benjamin and Gideon are first cousins, once removed. They married the Caldwell girls Martha and Mary.

Benjamin Franklin Burleson is not buried in Rochester or Haskell TX. My GGgrandmother Mary Elizabeth Caldwell Burleson is buried at Rochester she took the family bible to the grave with her.

It is the same BF Burleson IF he was married to Mary Caldwell. Had several children named Isac K., Eugene, Charles, Louis(Lewis), Joseph, Ella, Sallie, Walter, etc. He went from Leon county to Jones County, to Limestone county and finally settled in Haskell. He was then buried in Rochester Cemetery. DOD November 19, 1915. His wife, Mary is buried there along with their son Lewis Perry Burleson. Is this the same Benjamin Franklin that you are speaking about?
