Looking for any information on Kate (O'Pry)Whorton of Rule, Haskell Co., Texas and her descendants. Kate was the daughter of John A. O'Pry and his wife Mary Rosaline "Ross" Boone and the family originated in Navarro Co., Texas. Kate's husband's name was Jim Whorton and she had one son by this marriage. Any help in locating information on this family would be appreicated.

Probably you already have info that I have. Ms. Kate sold the tickets to go to the picture show in Rule during the 1940's. Her family owned the show. It is my understanding that descendants still are connected to the Drive-in theatre in Rule. My sister and brother-in-law know these families better than I. i am married to a john opry his father was john opry and died in navaroo couhty, his grandmother was a vickery, she is listed in tribal records in oklahoma cherokee.
there are alot of john oprys in their family.
