Can anyone identify the people in these photographs?

http://cid-39b1db14c948ff3a.skydrive.live.com/browse.aspx/Mi...

I THINK these are pictures of the Reynolds family that may have belonged to Elizabeth (Bettie) Reynolds Fisher (26 Jul 1860-24 Aug 1936). She and her husband were in Hall County by 1920 and came there from Collingsworth County. Her parents were James P. Reynolds and Susannah Brasher.

My cousin Lindell thought this was the picture album of my grandmother Minnie Virginia Fisher Haile. I do not recognize these as being "Haile" pictures.

I think picture 2 is PROBABLY the wife of Robert W. Reynolds, brother of Elizabeth (Bettie) Reynolds Fisher. His wife's name was "Annie G." I do not know her maiden name.

I think picture 4 is the brother of Elizabeth (Bettie) Reynolds Fisher....Robert W. Reynolds.

I think the 6th picture is probably the child of Robert W. and Annie Reynolds. Her name was Estelle. Could picture 8 be an older picture of the same child?

Picture 11 was taken in Tom Green County (San Angelo). This COULD be Flavius Joseph Reynolds, brother of Elizabeth (Bettie) Reynolds. It COULD be his son Edward Manton Reynolds.

Picture 19 is James Walter Haile, son of James Thomas Haile and Mary Beaver Hodges.

Please contact me if you can identify any of these people.

Pat Kinsey
pa-ha-kin@austin.rr.com
Not related! Love DNA projects! Repost in Potter County, TX. John Hugh Ramsey (12 Feb 1888 - 22 Aug 1957) and sons: Floyd Joseph Ramsey (20 Oct 1909 - 9 Feb 1959), Clifton Henry Ramsey (25 Dec 1911 - 20 Aug 1986), and J. H. Ramsey (14 Feb 1919 -27 Nov 1995) all died in that locale. It was also the final resting place of Albert Edmond Ramsey (23 Apr 1881 - 5 Sep 1955) older brother of John Hugh Ramsey. Clifton Anthony Ramsey was born 27 May 1958 in Potter County to Clifton Henry Ramsey and Darlene Green. Unable to locate a public telephone listing. Good luck!

Let's try this medium? That will enable others to refute information and/or uncover clues for additional research. Start with his WWI Draft Registration on 5 Jun 1917 in Cooke County, TX. His date of birth listed as 1 Nov 1889 in Hemming. He was married and the father of four. From the 1920 Census of Hall-Precinct 1-District 107-Page 16: Jess F. Mann(30), Ora(29), Lloyd(10), Jonnie(8), Jessie(5), Woodrow(3 3/12), and Catherine(3/12). In 1930 Hall-Precinct 2-District 9-Page 36, the handwriting analyst "blew it"! The interpretations were: Jean F. Manor(40), Ora I.(39), Jennie M.(18), J. P.(15), Woodrow(13), Katherin(10), and Henry A.(4). Jesse's wife was Ora Irene Harvey (2 Dec 1890 - 20 Dec 1963). She was born in Red River County, TX to Pearl Harvey and Victoria O'Keefe. She died in Memphis, Hall, TX but her residence was in Hedley, Donley, TX. Mr. Jess F. Mann was the certificate's informant and she was buried in IOOF Cemetery of Lakeview, TX. Texas records indicate Jesse F. Mann died 3 Jan 1978 in Hall County. Social Security Death Index has his life span 6 Nov 1889 - Jan 1978. Last benefits were paid to an address in Hedley, Donley, TX. Jesse's certificate is not viewable online but you can get it copied at any major-city Texas library. View Ora's and Henry Arthur's certificates at http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start In 1910 Cooke-Precinct 6-District 62-Page 12, find Jess D. Mann(20), Ora J.(18), and Lloyd(9/12). I hope you obtain his death certificate and/or original social security card application? One or both documents may provide clues to his early beginnings? From research, I have developed a theory but it is only speculation! Jonnie M. (Mann) Logan (5 Jan 1912 - 30 Dec 1995) died in Salem, Polk, OR. Her husband was Royce Thomas Logan (6 May 1908 - 18 Jan 1973). He died in McAllen, TX but resided in Woodburn, Marion, OR. Jonnie was the certificate's informant and it is viewable online.

In the 1950's & 60's there was Spicer Funeral Home on 10th Street... My grandparents lived on the corner of Montgomery and 10th and the funeral home was behind their home. Many of my relatives were buried there and I would love to know how to get some records from there. Hope this helps some.
Barbara Byrom Short

Is your ODOM related to a Fred ODOM from Hall Co.,TX?
Fred married Minnie PHILLIPS and had at least 2 children: Alma Berniece ODOM and Lee ODOM (male). If there is a connection please contact me, I have some photos I would like a direct relative to have.
I am no relation, Berniece ODOM was my Mother's friend throughout her life and Berniece's brother Lee was a friend to my uncle.

Do you have any information on Giles George Callahan, first husband of Cora Lee Powell, and father of A.G. Callahan, etc.? I have found the cemetery records. It is my unnderstanding that he was married several times. His last marriage was to my mother. His last son was my half-brother. I am interested in learning about the family of any of his relatives. E.g. Callahan, Truelove, Brown, Cromarte, Allen, Underwood, Houston, Dickerson, Harvey, Morrison, Sherrill, Giles, Alexander, Blackburn, Godfrey

I have met several family members, who visited or lived in California, years ago. I would like for my brother and his children to have this information. Thanks

There were no family members left in the area to protest.

Just for your own information the other headstones are:
W.T. Ditto 1873-1917
Infant dau.
Hello, thanks so much for your help. Does this mean that Alice is also not buried in Hall County or that she did not die in Hall county? She was born 1860 and died 1926. Family believe she may be buried at Turkey, TX.

I am looking for anyone that might have old photographs, around 1930-1935 of the cotton gin/mill in Memphis or Lesley. My Booth family used to own land there and raised cotton. My father in law remembers going to the gin/mill lots with his uncles and father.
Thank you in advance.
Renee Booth

Carolyn,
After you turn off the Lakeview Highway towards Plaska, you go about 3-4 miles down and turn right on County Road I. The cemetery is on the right at the first crossroad. If you are interested and will send me your address I will also send you pictures of this little cemetery. I believe there are a couple of us, at least, that care enough to see if we can get something together to clean up this cemetery and see if we can get it protected. Let me know at shugbug@rapidbeam.com if you are interested. I don't know if they allow attachments here or I would just post them now.
Billie

I lived near Palaska from the time I was born and my grandfather lived there from 1907 until his death . Never heard any mention of a Palaska Cementary. We lived west of Palaska about 2 miles. There are so few people living in that area now and things are so over grown Hope you can find what you are looking for, My grandparents George D. Hall and Cora Jane Hall are buried in the Lakeview and Memphis Cemetary as are my parents.

Billie, Is the grave yard between Plaska and Lakeview? It really surprises me that no one ever mentioned anything about it. My dad went to school at Plaska as did my uncles and one aunt . Must have been much larger then,The only thingI remember about Plaska is Foster grocery store and the gins and one mechanic by the name of Smith. My Great Aunt and her husband lived in Plaska when I was a child. Thanks for the information
