Larry,Thanks so much. This is a complicated story. I do have documentation on Israel Worsham and will send it. There has to be a connection. The Oliver boys mother Paulina (nee unknown, possibly Williams) married at least three times (1) William McGrew (2) Egbert O. Oliver (3) a Hall, probably John D. Hall.
Paulina L. born ca 1824 had the following children:
Frances McGrew, female, born in MS ca 1843
William J. McGrew born MS ca 1844
William McGrew, her husband dead bet. 1844-47
------
Robert Oliver born ca 1848 TX
John Oliver born aft 1850 TX
Egbert Oliver, her husband dead in 1853
-------------
James/Clark Hall born ca 1856-58
husband Hall dead by 1859
In 1861 Isreal Worsham pet. for letters of guardianship over the estate of the two Oliver boys in Mont. Co. TX, pd. $6000 bond with P. J. Willis and A. S. Libscomb , sec. Annual reports through 1866. In 1868, William J. McGrew, and the Oliver boys were all shot down in a gunfight in Montgomery.
Williamston/William Stone Williams became their administrator who pet. for a settlement of Worsham as guardian. In 1870 Williams objected to the final report.
Well, this is not all, but I will contact you privately with more.
Will you please check on the rest of the Halls in the Worsham index, esp. Clark Hall?
Thanks,
Sue
