Hi Carl,
do you know the name of your Gmother's parents. Like I said my G-grandfather's name ws David White. David aka Dave was born in 1841 in Navasoto, Grimes County, TX. Unfortunately all relatives that might have been able to tell me something is deceased. He is listed on the 1870 US Census for Grimes County TX, with his wife adeline Foster. Adeline was born in Arkansa. My G-Granmother, Lucinda Powell had 10 children by Dave but was never married to him. All her children went under the name of Powell. On the death certificate of my Grandfather, Elijah Powell, his mother, Lucinda gave her place of birth as Grimes County, TX. It is my understanding that Lucinda's mother was a Creek Indian and her father was an African Stud who came from Africa thru the Carribean.
