Windy, I looked in our records and there is no C.B. Stone. Have you checked with Montgomery County Tx? In the 1800's part of Grimes was Montgomery County & visa versa. It is entirely possible that he was in what is now Montgomery County and his records may be there. We have a very prominent name of STONEHAM and there is a community called STONEHAM. Is it possible that he may have used another name or a different version of Stone? We had several Stones, but no Charles B. listed in our probate files. I also checked in our Marriage records and found several females with the last name of Stone, do you have any of his children's names? Give me any other info you might have that can help me locate him. I will try and check at the Library for his name. You never know what may be waiting there.
