Interesting. I have a similar story told to me by my grandmother. The names in our family was Prince. Apparently my grandmother's grandmother , whose name was Dinah Prince, had told the story that Dinah's mother was a blind woman named Nora, which means "light" I estimate that Nora was born about 1820 because Dinah, my grandmother's grand mother was born around 1840. Nora was born in Virginia. I haven't been able to find proof of Nora yet but found Dianah Prince in South Carolina. If you have other information I'd appreciate it.
