I am needing direction on where I would write to obtain any newspaper articles related to the murder-suicide of Mae Della Howell Childs & Dale Alvin Child. Dale shot & killed his wife & then turned the gun on himself. She was pronounced DOA at 1:30am on 5/25/1950 at Danforth Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead later in the day (4:30p.m.) also at Danforth Memorial. This was in Texas City, Galveston Co., TX. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am glad to share info on the Howell family. They were originally from TN, then moved to TX and OK.
