your parkers would have to come from the northern areas to be kinned. Many have tried to connect to this line and I think that all Parker (including my own line) has told the storys and tried to connect.) It is a small line and the linage is traced. Try a google search of Quannah's family tree.

Looking for descendents of Lonnie and Sarah Alma Crow-Brooks born in GA, moved to Taylor Co., TX before the 1920 census then in Martin Co. TX by the 1930 census. Both died in the 1970's in Odessa, Ector Co., TX.

Sarah was my grandfathers only sibling and I did not know about her until about 5 years ago.
I posted a note on Gaines Co., TX message boards concerning a murder in a grocery store called Petes Gro. here in Seminole,TX. The reply I got was stating that it was "her" grandmother who had killed Pete. The reply can be re-read here. I assumed people were letting me know what happened to her??!! However, I am getting replies wanting to know how we are related and who I am. I reconized the name Shrauner, and Ables. I was born here and lived here all of my 56 yrs. I know there had to be a breakdown of communication and I am very sorry for any confusion. I am related to many dozens of people here so... I could be a relative afterall. We shall see. Were any of yall here when Petes wife shot him? Thanks, L.B.

Yes, I was married to Gladys and Alfred Sturguess son Freddy. He died in 1996 of heart attack. Gladys lost Jackey, another son in 1995, and of course their 1st born was a girl named Debby who was tragically killed when she was 4. Mrs. (Gladys) Sturguess was pregnant w/Freddy when that happened in Lamesa. Jackey took his own life when he was living in AZ. Gladys died of a heart attack Jan., 26, 2003. Is your Mom Mrs. McDonald and did you ever work at the D.Q. in 70's?
The last name of Pete??? is what we are looking for and his wifes 1st name or maiden name. I would just like to know if she had a better life and found some happiness. Her husband Pete was on a bowling team and did some terrible things to the point of Mother quit bowling because of his personality. Mother secretely befriended her-NOT TO SHOOT HIM- but an ear for listening and took her places so she would not have to walk.
I guess I sound nosy but she was a very nice lady who was scared and lonely. She gave me an apron one time. I never got to thank her because of the shooting. We never knew where to reach her. Maybe I could thank her family.

Is this too much information? Thanks,L.B. Seminole,TX

Hi, Karen Weir,
Thank you for being Gaines County coordinator. I agraduated from Seagraves High School, and still have kinfolk living in Gaines County. My main reason for contacting you is to tell you that Weir is a collateral line of mine. The Weirs moved to Childress County, Texas, from Fammin County, Texas, in the 1905-1910 era. And one of the Weir daughters married a Johnson; that line is still in Childress. Blessings to you, Nadyne Faulkenberry Lynn

Hi, Karen Weir,
I was the one who made a mistake; as I sometimes do, I did not read all I should have. You were merely replying to the coordinators to tell them their link to Gaines County did not work.

My grandfather's sister, Alice Dora AVARY, married Samuel Fielding WEIR 10 Nov 1901 in Fannin County, Texas. They moved to Childress County, Texas, about 1906, returned to Fannin County a year or so later and then again moved back to Childress. S.F. WEIR died in 1914 and Alice married 2nd to Dorman William Groseclose.

Samuel Fielding Weir was son of James Harrison WEIR (1851 Ireland-1886 Texas) and Mary Armeldia PAYNE. S.F. was the only one of their four children to live to adulthood.

The JOHNSON comes into the picture when Lonie Inez WEIR, daughter of Alice and S.F. WEIR, married Audie James JOHNSON 23 Aug 1923 in Estelline, Hall, Texas. Their son, A.J., still lives in Childress County.

Let me know whether this is your line, please.

Blessings,

Nadyne Faulkenberry Lynn

I think that I am one of David Lynn Anderson's nephews, Ken. My brother is David Brian, and our sister is Lyn. David Lynn was my natural mother's brother, and as Penny says, her name was Ada Cleo Anderson.

All of my mother's branch of the Anderson's (I guess) left Gains County for S. Louisiana in 1966, where the majority of them still reside in the New Iberia/Loreauville area. I have a worksheet showing family tree data for my parent's children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It includes all marraiges, births, deaths, and photos. I will forward it to anyone who wants it if this is the family of your query. All told for Ada Cleo Anderson it would be; 3 Children, 7 grandchildren, 6 Great grandchildren. For the whole total of our family its: 5 Children, 13 grand children, and 10 Great Grandchildren.

David Lyn Anderson married Shirley Mitchell and they had two daughters, Buffy and Daly. Shirly lives in Amarillo (I think) and Buffy in Dallas (again, I think), and Daly still lives in Seminole. My adopted mother who Penny speaks so well of, is Donna Munnerlyn (nee Carson) from Seminole. Her two children were John and Melanie. John lives in Loreauville, and Melanie passed away in October 2004. My mother is still in regular contact with Shirley and can provide more details via email.

You can contact me via email at: kenmunn@gmail.com

I travel around the world very much, but always have email of some sort close at hand.

Do you have access to the book called The Gaines County Story? There is a Jim Williams with a brother Andy that might fit as it mentioned living in South Texas. He was in GC in 1905, the wife was named Bessie. Info was supplied by Mrs. Byran Brewster for Andy Williams and maybe Jim also, it is not clear. I can photograph and send you a .jpg if this may be the right Williams.
Weldon
