This is my brother. What did you want to know. here is his obit: David Roland Pearson, 57, of Springfield, Virginia, an engineering consultant at GKY & Associates for 15 years died at Georgetown University Hostital due to complications stemming from pancreatic cancer, on March 22, 2008.
David Pearson was born April 17, 1950, in Pecos, Texas. He and his wife, Donna Sue (Howard) Pearson, married in March 1967, and had two sons, Glenn David Person and Robert Franklin Pearson, III. David was a 1972 graduate of Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelors of Science in Curriculum & Instruction. He was a teacher in the San Antonio ISD until he entered the United States Air Force as an officer in 1978. Stationed in Texas, Colorado, Maryland, Germany, Florida, and at the Pentagon in Washington DC. David served his country during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, and continued to serve until his retirement as a Major in the USAF in 1993.
After military service, David went on to become a proud partner of an engineering consulting company, GKY & Associates, located in Chantilly, Virginia. He remained an employee-owner, vice-president, and Board member until his death.
David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Donna, his two sons, Glenn & Robert, his parents, Robert & Billie Pearson, his sister, Debby Nickelson, and his grandchildren, Jennifer, Emily, & Christopher Pearson.
Through the years, David was also an amateur radio operator, an amateur photographer, a private pilot, and avid tennis player, an active member of Rotary International and Paul Harris Fellow, and an active supporter of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org). David was a loving husband, an exemplary father, and an inspiration to those who knew and loved him. In his words, David was a "contributing member of society."
