Rudolph OTTS & Eula BOW & Family. Looking for information & documentation

I am doing research for a friend of the family whom would like to learn his ancestry. I have traced his grand parents Rudolph OTTS (24Jul1898-Apr1985) and Eula BOW (1908-???) to this area of Texas.

Rudolph was born in Alabama. I believe he was the son of John Franklin OTTS and Palestine PRATT.
Eula was born in Texas. I have no other information on her or here family.
Would like to document their marriage, childern, home in this area, parentage, etc.

It appears from the research I've been able to do that John Franklin OTTS was born out of wedlock, but I have not been able to confirm that assumption.

Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a Milley A. Stringer who m. Mathew W. Coleman.
One of their children, Martha Coleman, is my grandmother. It is believed that Milley died young and that her parents, the W.B. Stringer Family of Franklin Co., TX, raised said children, however I cannot tie her to the Stringer family. Apparently Mathew m. two more times. The children of Milley and Mathew are named Thompson H., Bedie A., Willie I, Elby P., Lilley F., Martha A., and Rosa L. Mathew W. Coleman was b. in Georgia; Milley A. Stringer was b. in Alabama. If any of these names ring a bell, please respond.

am looking for information regarding my GG-Grandfather, John S. Jackson, and his wife Laura A Malone. They lived for many years in Mount Vernon, TX. I have states of birth, but not not where in the state - if that is listed anywhere. Also, any other information would be helpful.
Here is what I know thus far:
Full Name: John S. Jackson
Birth: Oct 1850 in Alabama
Death: 16 March 1926 in Mount Vernon TX
Parents were born in South Carolina according to census records.

Full Name: Laura A.
Great grandfather Ralph C. Alsobrook brought his family to Franklin County sometime after 1900 (when he was in Pike County Arkansas). Once here there were marriages with the following families, Brown, Buckhanon-Buchanan, and Harris.

But what really intrigues me is finding out there may have been Alsobrooks here as early as 1885 when a Mattie Alsobrook married a Lee Wakefield.

If anyone has any information about this family, especially about this Mattie Alsobrook who married Lee Wakefield, please share!
I believe I liked the old format better. I may not know what I'm doin'.

My interest is in the Bryarly family. I notice on Family Search (LDS) that Lucy Bryarly was christened in the New Liberty Church of Christ in May 1858. Does anyone know where in Titus County this church is/was? Lucy's mother is believed to have been raised a Methodist, her father I'm not sure what. It seems strange to me that she would have been "christened at 12 years of age, but again, perhaps that was the "age of maturity" for this denomination. Lucy was buried in the city Cemetery in Mt Vernon in Franklin County, where her mother and father were supposed to have been buried. I have been unable to located the graves, but I did find the grave of her sister, Elizabeth Caroline Bryarly, who married Francis Wright Bolin. Mr Bolin later became gr-grandmother's (Lucy Bryarly) husband after her husband Oliver Mathews died.

Can anyone help with this?

Note: Cross-posted on the Titus Co Message Board. I would like to know if anyone has knowlege of the burial site of Thomas Fitzhugh Bryarly and wife Minerva. Supposed to have died about 1878 and to have been buried in the City Cemetery in Mt Vernon.

delwin moore
delwin1924@sbcglobal.net
221 Browning
Carthage, Tx 75633
903-693-5687

I need some help in connecting these two families. I have a Joe Wayne Banister b. 1924, his parents are J.L (Boots)b. 1894 and Fannie Banister b. 1897. Fannie's mother was a sister to my great grandmother Cuella McBrayer. I belive that Fannie's mother's name is Mary and was born about 1863 in AL. I need help in finding Mary's husband who is Fannie's father. I do not know if Fannie has any siblings, Fannie and Boots had 3 children. All born in Franklin county. Joe Wayne and his entire family were killed in a train accident in June 1953.
We are searching for information to document the birth/death of E.A. (Enos Alexander) HARPER, born 3/24/1853 in Texas and died in 1936 in Texas. He was married to Ella Eliza RILEY, born about 1855 in Alabama. They had 3 children, an infant who was born/died prior to 1880, George Washington Harper (b. 9/25/1880, Texas, d. 12/11/67, Arkansas), and Lavenia Isabelle "Belle" HARPER STEED (b. 11/2/1884, Texas, d. 1965, Texas). Ella Eliza died in 1913 and Enos remarried Mrs. M.J. HAIL in 1914.

We are also searching for information on William Calvin Harper and Isabella (BROWN?)(HUGHS?) HARPER McCORKLE, Enos' parents. Enos had two siblings, C.C. (Christopher Columbus), and Mary A. HARPER BURKS. William Calvin died somewhere between 1854 and 1859. His burial site is unknown. Isabella remarried Logan H. MCCORKLE in 1859. She died in 1912 and is buried in the Forest Academy Cemetery.

If you have any information (obits, birth/death/burial records, stories), on any of these individuals, we would be most appreciative! Thank you!

I am looking for information on Henry Clay Armstrong (1841-1919) and Elvira White (1851-?1909). I have an Elvira White born in 1851 in Marion County, AL to William B. and Permelia G. White. The family story is that she married an Armstrong and moved to Texas. I have found H. C. and Elvira in the 1900 Census and all of the ages fit with what I have found. I am just needing something more substantial to connect the Elvira White in Texas to the Elvira White in AL. ANything anyone can tell me about this family would be very helpful. I have a little more about the family of William B. and Permelia White if anyone is interested.
Thanks
Veneta

I am looking for information about Fleetwood "Doc" Holder, born in Mount Vernon on Oct. 3, 1886. His mother was Dora D. Holder, born in Georgia. She later married a Frost, but her maiden name is unknown. All we know about Fleetwood's father is that he was born in Alabama. By 1910, Fleetwood appears in a census in Colorado, so he moved away young, but he later settled in Ridgeway, Hunt County, Texas. He is my husband's grandfather. Fleetwood married Ollie Reed, b. 1896 d. 1931. We have no other information about her and no idea if she is from Mount Vernon. Does anyone have information about Fleetwood or Ollie's parents and siblings?

When my grandmother died, I found a box of pictures taken around 1900. There are about 20 of them, and no one in my immediate family can identify them. I believe that they are from the Corley or McBrayer families, but could be Clifton or Steele. Some of them have houses in the background that might be the best way to id them. If anyone would like to help, I would appreciate it. You can email me at rnall@ticnet.com and I will send you any that you would like to see. I do have two identified as Will and Sudie McBrayer with Murnice and Lois.
Thanks, Rhonda

I am seeking information about Oscar G. GILMORE and Carrie Conner GILMORE in Franklin Co., Texas. Carrie Conner GILMORE was the daughter of John Calhoun CONNER(CONNOR) and Sally Jane REID CONNER. Carrie was born in North Carolina and she had a brother by the name of John I. CONNOR. She also had 1/2 siblings by the name s of Ethel CONNOR, Zena Lillie CONNOR, and William CONNOR. John Calhoun CONNER's(CONNOR) second wife was Lillie Mae KOONTZ.
Oscar G. GILMORE and Carrie CONNER were married 18-NOV-1890 in Franklin CO., Texas. They are on the 1900 and 1910 census for Franklin CO. In 1900 the family conisted of Oscar, Carri, Charley, Gleniver(?), and Thelma. In 1910, the family consisted of Oscar G., Carry W., Chester, Glover R., Thelma, Nello D., Elex L., and Cornelia. Oscar was b. Aug 1868, and Carrie was b. Jan 1870. I am wondering if there is any obit, death record, or marriage records for Oscar and Carrie or any of their children. The children's names may not be spelled correctly since the census was hard to read. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Karen H. My aunt, Juanita, and mother, Kathryn, were born there.

Roy's brothers were Carl, Roger, and Ross; and his sister was Junie (or Junia). Roger reportedly was involved in politics at the state or federal level.

I need information on their parents so I can continue with my family research on the Davis Family. So far I've had no luck. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks, Judy

His family moved several times before his death, so I'm not sure where they were living when he died. I have a photo of his grave, but no idea where he was buried. The photo (probably taken in the '60s) shows a white clapboard church in the background, no trees in sight.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
Beverly

Need info on PEARL SATTERFIELD. She was b. Oct. 1884 near Purley, Franklin Co. Parents: Asbury ROSS Satterfield and Susan M. Stinson. In 1900 she moved to Ladonia and by 1910 was teaching school living near Honey Grove, Fannin Co. with her married sister Annie Viola Satterfield Lamb, husband and 3 year old boy. In Franklin Co. marriage records there is a Pearl Satterfield that married a C.O. SMITH 15 Nov. 1915. Tx.St.Dept of Health does not have a death certificate for her under her maiden name. She may be dead by 1941 as she did not attend her brother's funeral in Fannin Co. that year. She had another sister, Lochie who died in 1913 in Dallas, also a school teacher as was the only brother. Thanks for any ideas!

My great-grandfather, William isaac Blalock, is listed in the 1900 Census in Franklin County, TX, with children Minnie, Ray, Paul, Silas and Arthur. In the 1910 Census with Paul & Silas. William Isaac moved to Franklin Cty. sometine between 1885 and 1900, and remarried there in 1911 to Mrs. Nora Flowers. Wm. I. previously lived in Lamar Cty, TX, with 1st wife, Mary Caroline Mooney. The mystery is whether or not he married after Mary Carolines death (date unk.), and before Nora. I am looking for information on the mother of the above named children. Wm. I and Mary C. had 4 children, Aurora, b. abt. 1878 in Lamar Cty, Eula Mae, my grandmother, b. 1882 or 1884, and 2 who died in infancy. His second wife may have been a Hendricks, as that is Authur's middle name.

TEDDERS and Henry SIMPSON went to the home of Alex SPENCER and asked for some coffee. SPENCER returned and shot and killed Constable TEDDERS. I am interested the facts surrounding this case; what happened to SPENCER; where is TEDDERS buried; and any family history.

Marriage Lookup Please

I am trying to locate the place where my great-grandparents were married. I had alway's thought it was Hopkins Co.
But.... I have had no luck. So I am trying the Counties from Rockwall and going East.
Their names were William H. Collins And Clyde (Maiden name is unknown). From what I have found on the US census they were married around 1895. William H. was born about 1876 in Kentucky and Clyde was born about 1879 in Arkansas. In the 1900 census William was living at home with his parents, but listed as married for 5 years. I have not found Clyde in the 1900 census. William H's parents were Asberry Collins and Mary Jane Collins.

Any information please email me here or at cama1209@msn.com
