Boy, YOU are GOOD! With much digging for a long time, I have most of this, but you pulled it out of the hat within the short time of the last post!

I was 4 months into being 7 when my Dad passed, and I was left knowing almost nothing about his family. After getting a computer in 2002, and knowing nothing about it, or genealogy, I started digging, and got hooked big time, and found a LOT! An amazing long article of an interview with my great granddad, Mike, and pic is on the TXGenWeb, Colorado County site, with a Nave search. I did not have his 2 middle names! Our name used to be Neff, and a Neff/Nave organization has traced the different lines, (ours is the "C" line), back to as early as 1415!

I didn't have the cause of death of my grandparents. I don't think I found a 1900 census either, (but I had taken a long leave from genealogy). I did find quite a number of transcription mistakes that I submitted to Ancestry.com. One was the 1920 Karnes C. census listing Dr. Sam F. Nave as Domonic D. Nave, Roll T625-1824, pg. 3A.

I had found out about Caroline, but it seems you found she married a Freteck Meyer after my grandfather! I guess (sic) means a possible misspelling. (never knew what that meant.) I tracked down a 95 yr. old daughter of Charles, sharp as a tack! Spoke to her at length twice! But, I think her daughter cut off her interest after she wanted to go research!!

There is one thing that stumps me. My Dad's sister, Elizabeth married Alfred T. "Red" Goff, and there was a daughter named Francis. I have tried to find more on her, but cannot. She may have been his from a possible prior marriage. I found a Francis Goff who was quite famous in TX. history working in female causes, but this is probably not her. I am seeking some pictures, and whatever! I have one portrait of my grandfather, and none of Emma.

I have few living close relatives, and have endured some big disappointments with finding some, and others whose ancestors were great friends, etc, but they have shown no interest! One pretty close kin who was long missing lives 14 miles from me, but has money, and no interest. But, I have found distant cousins who have been great!

I don't know if there is a way to invite you to email me directly if you so desire without posting my email, but here it is, if it is allowed: Navefmly@sbcglobal.net.

Again, many thanks!
