I did not live her in 1975 and never saw the building or it's exact location with my own eyes. I don't know when it burned...only that it burned. According to the Fannin County Folks and Facts, this building was West of Dodd City.
The marker in the photo only bears the words, "State Historical Survey Committee". It is no longer listed on the THC list of historic places. The listing used to read: "Early-day stagecoach stop, post office, home. Built by Edmund H. Dodd, 1839. Owned by the John Kincaid family. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark - 1965"
