. . . don't ya just get irratated with the initials. This was not how it was to be done. I have access to Texas birth index. Took year of 1955 +/- 5 years find no female with first name that started with C who had children in El Paso County. As it turns out the daughter was Kathryn M Alexander, born 07 Dec 1921 Coles Co IL, she never married and J W was John W named after grandfather.

EL PASO, Texas -- Kathryn M. Alexander, 83, of El Paso, Texas, formerly of Coles County, died April 17, 2004, in El Paso, Texas. A graveside service was conducted in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Santa Teresa, N.M. The Hillcrest Funeral Home, Doniphan, was in charge of arrangements. She was born in Coles County, daughter of Albert B. Alexander and Hortense Vern Alexander. Survivors include a brother, John Alexander. Miss Alexander had retired as principal from Barnett Grade School and had previously taught school at Crockett Grade School and Austin High School. During World War II, she was a bookkeeper at Biggs Army Field. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and the El Paso Women's Club.
