I am looking for someone that might know of somebody that has a picture of the inside of the Devils Sink Hole where there is a carving of a man's name. H. S. Barber (Hugh Smith Barber). He was the first known explorer down inside the Sink Hole in 1899. I think he took his son at a later time and carved his name also, L.O. Barber. The Grandson of H.S. Barber, L.O. Barber Jr., is trying to get this picture. I am a close friend and am trying to help.

Contact the Devil's Sinkhole SNA on the square in Rocksprings. They have a movie that was filmed down in the hole and other publications with photos included. I just went there and the people are wonderful and very helpful.
