I am hoping someone can help me get an obit for CHARLES DAVID SEABOLT, who died April 20, 2009., in Odessa. I am not sure where he was interred and hoping that the obit will convey this information. Thank you so much for any help.

Charles David Seabolt, Jr. (1925 - 2009)

ODESSA Charles David Seabolt, Jr., 83, of Odessa, Texas, died at Medical Center Hospital on Monday afternoon, April 20, 2009, as a result of lung cancer.

He was born May 5, 1925, in Siloam Springs, Ark., and he spent his adolescence in the home of his beloved sister and brother-in-law, Cleta and Ralph Berkshire, in Miami, Okla.

Under their guidance, Charles was baptized into the First Baptist Church of Miami.
After graduating from high school, he served two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II, primarily in Japan and the South Pacific. He received a bachelor's degree from Northeastern State College at Tahlequah, Okla., and his Master's degree from the University of Oklahoma. After teaching several years in Oklahoma and Amarillo, he moved to Odessa, where he taught math at Bowie and Bonham Junior High Schools, and was a vocational coordinator in Special Education. He completed his teaching career in the math department of Permian High School.
In 1965, Charles married English teacher Jane Beggs. Though not blessed with children of their own, they have been proud and fortunate to have had a significant part in the lives of hundreds of fine young people who now compose the fabric of our society.

Charles Seabolt is survived by his wife, Jane. Other relatives include a nephew, William E. Ayers and his wife Johnnie Dean of Odessa.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, 2009, with Allen Weakland who is the minister of Eisenhower Church of Christ officiating.
